Bittersweet Celebrations for Besiktas

The Black Eagles completed on Monday a historical season after winning TBL Cup, FIBA Eurochallenge and TBL League. Besiktas managed to defeat Anadolu Efes 4-2 in the TBL Final Series, conquering the Turkish League title 37 years later.

However, several sources have appointed that coach Ergin Ataman will not continue next season. The turkish coach has several big offers and Besiktas will have a long and tough summer to build a new project. It´s all about money. After qualifying to the Euroleague, the black eagles will have to invest in a deeper and more powerful roster but now the lights are set on the Board. It seems that the club will need to get new big sponsors and that will take several weeks. It will be so difficult to keep both coach Ataman and players such as Carlos Arroyo, Pops Mensah-Bonsu or Zoran Erceg (already targeted with Lietuvos Rytas).
